Allergan, Inc. and Clinique Announce Nationwide Availability of CLINIQUE MEDICAL

Named one of Allure magazines 2008 Beauty Breakthroughs, the products in the CLINIQUE MEDICAL Optimizing Regimen kit work together to help improve the skins receptivity to the benefits of laser skin resurfacing such as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) or fractionated laser treatments, chemical peels such as 30% Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) peels, and microdermabrasion.1 Products in the kit also aid in the post-procedure process by helping to manage post-procedure visible excess redness and irritation, encourage even skin tone and enhance skins resilience to the visible signs of aging.

Backed By Science

Two separate double-blind controlled studies consisting of 12 weeks of product use in two treatment cycles demonstrate the effectiveness of CLINIQUE MEDICAL in optimizing the outcome of non-surgical cosmetic procedures. The first study examined the use of CLINIQUE MEDICAL in conjunction with an IPL treatment (n=29), and the second study with a 30% TCA chemical peel (n=28). All participants in the studies were female between the ages of 35-65 and had never undergone the procedures.

At 12 weeks post-treatment in both studies, CLINIQUE MEDICAL was shown to optimize the benefits of the procedures, significantly improving many of the hallmark signs of aging, including the appearance of lines and wrinkles, age spots, skin radiance, skin firmness and skin tone. CLINIQUE MEDICAL also significantly reduced visible excess redness and irritation commonly associated with IPL treatments and 30% TCA chemical peels.

In-office skin resurfacing treatments achieve results in similar ways layers of skin are removed, and through the healing process, new, healthier-looking skin emerges.
