Mcshin Foundation, a full-service Recovery Community Organization (RCO) continues to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families fighting Substance Use Disorders (SUD). Since its inception in 2004, this non-profit organization has been committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for those struggling with addiction. Its mission is to deliver a message of hope, strength, and recovery by providing peer-to-peer support and community-based resources to help those struggling with addiction make lasting changes in their lives. 

The foundation has grown tremendously over the years, serving thousands of individuals and families throughout the state. This growth is attributed mainly to its expansive 15,000-square-foot Recovery Community Center (RCC). The RCC provides a variety of resources to those seeking support and guidance on their journey to recovery, such as two large group rooms, four small group rooms, access to computers, and a library of over 1,000 pieces of recovery literature, tapes, videos, DVDs, and CDs.

McShin Foundation is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Peer Recovery Support Services (CAPRSS), and its unique peer-oriented social model program is a crucial component in helping individuals and families. This program offers a comprehensive approach to the recovery process, providing individuals with access to a wide range of recovery services. During the first thirty days, the program focuses on helping individuals establish a solid foundation for their recovery, providing them with the resources and support they need to stay firmly on their path toward sobriety. Throughout the program, individuals are paired with a trained peer who can help them understand the recovery process, set and reach their goals, and develop a strong support network.  

The foundation provides a range of residential options to individuals seeking recovery. These include recovery residences for individuals seeking aftercare from treatment centers, a 28-day residential program for relapse-prone individuals, and the "Jail Recovery Program" for individuals re-entering the community from jails, prisons, or institutions. These programs provide individuals with a safe and empowering environment while they transition back into the community. 

In addition to its recovery programs, Mcshin Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness about SUDs and reducing the stigma attached to them through various educational initiatives. These include Recovery Coach Training, Peer Recovery Specialist Training, Overdose Reversal Training, and more. Through these initiatives, the foundation is helping to spread the word about recovery and educate the society about SUDs.

Through its peer-driven social model program and access to quality resources and support, they are empowered to take control of their own recovery.
