Meet the EFA at Brooklyn Book Festival
Editorial Freelancers Association Exhibits at BKBF 2022 Festival Day and Literary Marketplace
NEW YORK - Sept. 23, 2022 - PRLog -- The Editorial Freelancers Association will be exhibiting once again at the Brooklyn Book Festival October 2 in NYC. Stop by our booth to introduce yourself and learn more about the benefits of EFA membership or about hiring the right freelancer for your project through our Member Directory and Job List! The festival will take place both virtually and in-person this year at the Brooklyn Borough Hall and Plaza on Joralemon Street in downtown Brooklyn.
"The Brooklyn Book Fest is a wonderful, cross-cultural event," says Amy Spungen, EFA Events chairperson. "We are thrilled to be part of the festival's Literary Marketplace, where we join a community of authors and publishers from many genres. We look forward to seeing everyone there!"
Since its inception in 2006, the Brooklyn Book Festival has grown from a single-day literary event to include eight days of Bookend events held citywide. The highlights of the festival are the flagship Festival Day, featuring 300 authors and a Literary Marketplace of 250 independent and major publishers, and the BKBF Children's Day, a celebration of reading, with featured appearances by children's book authors and illustrators.
Founded in 1970, the Editorial Freelancers Association is a national nonprofit professional organization with approximately 3,000 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators and others who work in publishing, communications, and related fields.
The EFA has garnered praise from publishing pros like Jane Friedman and Louise Harnby and is frequently listed as a valuable resource for authors on sites including Poets & Writers, BookBub, Medium, The Write Life, Publishers Weekly, Poynter, and the Chicago Manual of Style blog.
