This dad got pitched by college admissions fraudster Rick Singer — but said no to the scam

A man who spoke with college admissions advisor William "Rick" Singer in 2011 says Singer floated the idea of having the man's son pose as a water polo player to get him accepted to a California university for a $100,000 fee. Singer has pleaded guilty to a wide-ranging scheme that allegedly involved actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, top CEOs, a lawyer and others getting their children accepted to colleges through bribery, false representations and cheating.
