Ohio’s defense industry has a $13.7 billion economic impact, bringing 66,400 jobs and $4 billion in payroll across seven bases and nearly 100 assets dispersed widely around the state. And, development leaders say, that dispersal can be a problem when there’s no one full-time entity advocating for protecting and growing defense jobs.
