Building materials stocks continue to thrive. As of mid-April, the Dow Jones Construction & Materials Titans 30 Index was at 237, up over 16% for the year. Higher stock prices and increasing production costs have fueled a rise in mergers and acquisitions in the sector. However, forecasts for 2007 are mixed.
