Fairy Meadow , Australia, February 5, 2025 -- The ARHG Foundation is thrilled to announce that the Festival of FUN, one of Australia's largest inclusive events, will be held in Wollongong for the first time on March 1, 2025. Previously hosted on the Gold Coast for the past two years, this third edition of the festival is designed to provide fun and entertainment for people with disabilities, while welcoming all attendees.

According to the Australian Human Rights Commission, over 4 million Australians experience disability, yet many face challenges accessing inclusive events. The Festival of FUN addresses this gap by offering accessible activities, live performances, and entertainment options that cater to individuals with diverse needs.
David (Macca) McFarland, Director and Founder of the Festival of FUN, hopes the event will become the largest national and international celebration of its kind in the coming years. He states, "I've been in the disability space as a volunteer for over 25 years, and what we've found is that there are no events like this, especially for families. So we wanted to make an event where we brought everyone together."
The Festival of FUN is designed to facilitate discovery and create opportunities for people with disabilities and their loved ones, through an inclusive environment where fun and community join in one big celebration. Attendees can look forward to live music from artists with and without disabilities, alongside carnival rides and interactive exhibits.
Additional festival highlights include an exhibition hall with helpful resources and services for individuals with disabilities, a petting zoo that the whole family can enjoy, and inclusive sports competitions that will engage participants of all abilities.
Tickets are available through the Festival of FUN website for $10.
