Author, Dr. Clarence Riggins Shares A Piece of His Mind In Latest Work— “Seen or Unseen: What Is Your Choice?”
'To all, our nation is changing—in color, in thoughts, and in protest.'
These are but a few of the powerful words you can find in Dr. Clarence Riggins' “Seen or Unseen: What Is Your Choice?”, a thought-provoking commentary on the sensitive issues that continue to plague America today. Particularly, racism and prejudice that goes back from the civil rights era, up to the present.
Dr. Clarence Riggins is a degree-holder from the University of Phoenix; a chapter member of the National Society of Leadership and Success; and a retired US Army veteran who then pursued a management career in the US Postal Service. As a man of color himself, finishing this book is truly considered one of his life's work, especially because of its inclination to national occurrences and his own personal experiences; but most importantly, because of its timely release.
The book was published in the year 2021—where unjudicial killings are rampant and the movement Black Lives Matter became legendary worldwide. “Seen or Unseen: What Is Your Choice?” probes the realities of race in the United States. It points out the fact that at some point in our lives, all of us have witnessed something—good or bad, and chose not to intervene. Here, Dr. Riggins talks about injustice unseen by choice; raising our voices when we shouldn't have to in the first place; and our silence in times that require our noise the most.
A brilliant work that challenges our principles. A book that fuels our thoughts and renders us to self-assess. A must-read.
