SirionLabs Commits to A More Sustainable Business Future, Joins the United Nations Global Compact -
New York, NY – November 18, 2021 - SirionLabs, the leader in AI-powered contract lifecycle management (CLM), today announced its participation in the United Nations (UN) Global Compact. This program is designed to hold participating companies accountable for the Ten Principles put forth by the UN, which challenge businesses to improve human rights, uphold labor conditions, enhance environmental practices and diminish corruption. As a participant in the Global Compact, SirionLabs joins more than 14,000 global organizations, including Accenture, BNY Mellon, and Unilever, from over 160 countries, as it continues its journey to ensure sound business practices and create a more equitable and sustainable future.
Founded over two decades ago, the UN Global Compact is an agreement among organizations to make corporate responsibility and sustainability core to their business strategy, with a long-term goal to improve their impact on society. Annually, these businesses are evaluated by the UN through a Communication on Progress (COP) report that outlines the company's efforts to successfully implement these principles.
“It's easy for businesses to say they are doing more to help the environment and communities across the world. It is another thing to actually do it,” said Ajay Agrawal, Co-Founder, and CEO of SirionLabs. “By committing to the UN Global Compact, we are holding ourselves accountable to continue delivering long-term value in financial, environmental, social, and ethical terms. As a result, we are already making a positive impact by implementing these key principles into the foundation of our business. We have crafted policies to serve our community and stakeholders in a safe and energy-efficient manner. We believe in long-term, sustainable progress for all and are excited to be contributing to the world in our own unique way.”
Through this agreement, SirionLabs is implementing policies that focus on digitization, thus reducing the dependency on paper and enhancing the use of recyclables and renewable sources of energy to support environmental preservation. Another key focus are policies that create a safe and healthy workplace, equal rights for all, focused sensitization programs, and employee certifications. The leadership is actively collaborating with its employees, customers, and partners to develop a principled approach to doing business. The company looks forward to demonstrating its progress in its annual submission of a Communication on Progress (CoP) highlighting its momentum and concentrated effort across the Ten Principles.
SirionLabs' commitment to the UN Global Compact comes on the heels of previous recognitions and achievements related to its employee-friendly practices. Recently, the company became Great Place to Work-Certified™ in India (October 2021- October 2022) following the introduction of initiatives such as flexible working hours, meeting-free days, and quarterly rejuvenation days (day offs). Now, as the company continues to expand globally, diversity will remain at the core of its hiring plans, with the UN Global Compact program providing further fillip to the organization's goal of being an employer of choice.
