Nano One Materials Corp CEO Dan Blondal joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company has taken another big step forward with a joint development agreement with Michigan-based Our Next Energy, an energy-storage technology company.

Blondal telling Proactive the companies plan to work together on production of a North American supply of lithium iron phosphate cathode active material. The collaboration aligns well with Nano One's plans to expand and feed into the electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage markets.

Our Next Energy is well-funded and has strong partnerships with BMW and Breakthrough Energy Ventures, complementing Nano One's supply chain partnerships with Rio Tinto and Volkswagen. The CEO also said this company is the right size to help produce LFP out of the new Candiac plant which is under construction.
