New South Wales, AUS, 27 August 2024 — We’re thrilled to announce that Bunzl Safety & Lifting has won the 2024 Australian Packaging Innovation & Design Award (PIDA) for Sustainable Packaging of our Mack Workwear Shirts.

The awards are coordinated annually by the Australian Institute of Packaging to recognise companies and individuals making a significant difference in their field in Australia and New Zealand. The PIDA Awards are the exclusive award program for all Australia and New Zealand entries into the prestigious WorldStar Packaging Awards, which are coordinated by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).

The Sustainable Packaging Award recognises companies that have developed innovative packaging or processing solutions that incorporate sustainability considerations.

Our innovative approach includes packaging Mack Workwear shirts with zero plastic. This involves using recyclable cardboard bands and fully recyclable paper tags with cotton cord.

Additionally, we’ve upgraded our carton packaging with water-soluble dyes. This change makes recycling much easier for our customers and partners alike.

Bunzl Safety & Lifting were among a long list of Australian finalists.
