Eurostemcell.life: Pioneering Stem Cell Therapy for Head and Neck Pain

Eurostemcell.life, a leading clinic and research facility based in the Republic of Cyprus, is excited to announce its recent advancements in using stem cells to effectively treat head and neck pain syndromes. This press release provides an overview of our innovative treatments and the scientific expertise backing our methods, underscored by the contributions of Professor Russell Vickers, a renowned authority with over 100 publications and research articles in pain management.

Our stem cell facility specializes in treating patients from Europe and the Middle East, combining comprehensive medical support services with cutting-edge research and treatments in stem cell therapy. The treatments focus on both intra-cranial and extra-cranial pain, utilizing autologous mesenchymal adipose stem cells to address conditions unresponsive to conventional therapies.

Under the leadership of Professor Vickers, our team has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on various aspects of pain management and stem cell therapy. These publications emphasize the therapeutic potential of stem cells in treating a wide array of neuropathic and non neuropathic conditions, including trigeminal neuralgia, headache, migraine, nerve damage from dental or medical procedures, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, Costens syndrome, Eagles syndrome, keratoconjunctivitis sicca, xerostomia, TMJ disorders and Bells Palsy.

The use of stem cells on neurodegenerative conditions is controversial and experimental. It would be prudent to suggest that stem cells have been used to treat symptoms of diseases such as MS, ALS and other neuralgias. These include trigeminal and glossopharyngeal neuralgias. The use of stem cells in autism is documented. The use of stem cells in acute vascular insufficiency (stroke) in the brain is documented. There are at present no known reports to suggest stem cells can cure neurodegenerative conditions.

In respect of extra cranial pain conditions of pain there are many causes and stem cells have been used to both alleviate symptoms and treat the underlying pathology. Professor Vickers and his team can definitively state that autologous mesenchymal adipose stem cells are anti-inflammatory and imuno-modulatory. The stem cells migrate to sites of disease and injury through unknown mechanisms, most likely through blood transport mechanisms and direct interaction. The stem cell differentiates into the cell that is native to the tissue involved, ie if there has been damage to bone cells then the stem cell evolves into a bone cell (osteoblast), if the damage is to a nerve cell then the stem cell becomes a neuron, if the damage or inflammation is to skin or deeper tissue the stem cell becomes an epidermal cell or fibroblast. In this way the stem cells regenerate native tissue.

If differentiated the extra cranial tissue in the head and neck can appreciate for what conditions stem cells may be used to augment natural healing mechanisms or suppress disease states. As a reminder, no practice can guarantee cures nor results due to the diverse nature of disease. For example if looking at common nerve conditions in the head and neck notice that toothache and neuralgias (trigeminal and glossopharyngeal) are commonly represented as patient complaints. As long as the organic reasons for pain are excluded (for example toothache not caused by a dental abscess, malocclusion or fractured tooth etc) then it would reasonable to consider conventional pharmaceutical therapy (anti-inflammatories and analgesics) first. Mesenchymal autologous stem cells would be used when there is failure of conventional therapy. Professor Vickers and his team undertake stem cell treatment for head and neck pain conditions unresponsive to conventional therapy.

Eurostemcell.life remains committed to adhering to the highest standards of medical research and patient care, as guided by European Medical Agency directives. Our research has been widely recognized for its contribution to understanding and treating pain and non pain head and neck conditions through innovative, scientifically validated stem cell transfer methods.
