Milwaukee, WI, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Briggs & Stratton, the world's largest producer of gasoline engines for outdoor power equipment and a leading manufacturer of turf care equipment, lithium-ion battery packs and energy solutions products, today announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud. The company is integrating Gemini Enterprise across its global supply chain operations to eliminate operational bottlenecks and develop vital AI skills within its workforce.

This rollout builds on the company’s success with Briggs & Stratton Assist, an award-winning customer service agent developed on Gemini Enterprise and powered by Gemini models. As a longtime Google Workspace customer, Briggs & Stratton is now leveraging Gemini Enterprise and BigQuery on Google Cloud to securely analyze data — including supply chain information — within daily employee workflows.

Transforming Supply Chains with Agentic AI

Instead of using AI to replace human oversight, Briggs & Stratton is using it to enhance its people. By integrating Gemini Enterprise across its digital ecosystem, the company is deploying specialized AI agents to handle volume change controls, exception message handling, and safety stock management.

The result: Employees are freed from manual data-gathering and tactical reporting. The integration allows supply chain teams to query complex SAP data using natural language, turning static reports into actionable decisions in seconds, significantly reducing cycle times and boosting overall efficiency.

Crucially, Briggs & Stratton is putting the technology directly into the hands of its workforce. The company has empowered its employees to build and deploy over 25 low-code agents leveraging Google Workspace and operational data exports. This enablement of AI gives employees hands-on experience in building automated solutions, driving streamlined, data-driven decisioning that solves their specific daily challenges, powered by Gemini.

"At Briggs & Stratton, we build the engines and essential equipment that keep job sites, homes and businesses running worldwide, and that zero-downtime mentality applies to our own operations," said Brian Olsson, chief information officer, Briggs & Stratton. "Expanding our partnership with Google Cloud to use Gemini Enterprise across our supply chain data is a major leap forward in our digital transformation journey. By empowering our workforce with agentic AI assistants drawing insights from our Google Workspace environment and SAP, we remove repetitive, tactical work so employees can focus their talents on strategic problem-solving that keeps our manufacturing lines moving and delivers greater value for our customers.”

“We are giving our workforce the tools to build their AI solutions, right inside the systems they already use every day,” said Mike Boeselager, director of IT, Briggs & Stratton. “Employees go from idea to working agent in days, without waiting on a formal IT build cycle, allowing us to respond faster to operational changes in the plants.”

"Briggs & Stratton continues to demonstrate how industry leaders can transform core operations by embracing generative and agentic AI," said Praveen Rao, global director, head of manufacturing industry, Google Cloud. "By connecting Gemini Enterprise with Google Workspace and enterprise systems such as SAP, and ServiceNow, Briggs & Stratton is setting a powerful benchmark for operational efficiency and innovation."
