Rokid Showcases Upcoming AR Glasses at Chinese Embassy in D.C., Highlighting Sino-American Tech Dialogue

By: Get News

Rokid, a pioneer in Augmented Reality (AR) and human-machine interaction, presented its flagship Rokid Glasses at a closed-door event hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C. The event convened senior U.S. government officials, policy leaders, and representatives of educational and cultural institutionsto foster greater understanding of Chinese innovation and global collaboration in emerging technologies.

Speaking alongside fellow robotics innovator Unitree, Liang Guan, Global General Manager of Rokid, delivered a keynote centered on the growing convergence of artificial intelligence and augmented reality, and how AR glasses can become the next-generation interface between humans and intelligent systems.

“Now, as you can see, it’s 2025, AI is everywhere. It’s transforming how we live, how we work, and how we think. But for AI to truly integrate into our lives, it needs a face. It needs a body. It can’t just live in the cloud; it needs to be present right before us.”

In his remarks, Guan reflected on Rokid’s founding journey from Hangzhou to Silicon Valley, its cross-border development process, and the shared innovation fostered through U.S.-China collaboration. “We are building a bridge between people, information, technology, and intuition. Which is Rokid’s slogan: leave nobody behind.”

Guan emphasized the importance of continued binational technological dialogue: “U.S.-China technology dialogue is more valuable than ever. We’ve understood that the U.S. is excellent at explaining complex problems, turning technical depth into user clarity. China is excellent at solving difficult problems and building what others think can’t be built. One side defines the problem; the other side makes the impossible possible. ”

The presentation received warm attention from the audience, with several U.S. guests expressing excitement about the glasses’ journey and real-world applications.

With other industry innovators, Rokid’s presence centered around live demonstrations of the Rokid Glasses, highlighting real-time multilingual translation capabilities. During the demo, guests held natural conversations in English and Chinese while subtitles appeared instantly on the lens, enabling fluid cross-lingual dialogue without needing an interpreter.

One highlight featured a spontaneous interaction between the Chinese Ambassador Xie Feng and American influencer Neumann Brecken. The two engaged in an unscripted conversation using the Rokid Glasses, illustrating the device’s potential to bridge linguistic and cultural gaps in diplomatic and social settings. Designed to enhance communication and accessibility, this application received enthusiasm on a large scale.

Attendees also tested the teleprompter function, which discreetly displayed speech scripts in the user's field of view. Several remarked on its potential for education, public speaking, and government training scenarios.

Rokid’s participation in the event resonated as a symbol of open technological exchange, embodying the brand’s mission to make technology lighter, more human, and more universally accessible.

Today, Rokid Glasses are used in education, training, inspection, and healthcare. “We use technology as a language,” said Guan. “A language to bring people closer to ideas, each other, and the future, and our sincere hope that technology continues to open doors, start conversations, and bring understanding.”
