XIMEA Reveals Ultra High Resolution 127 Mpix Cameras With Global Shutter Sensors
COLORADO, US - XIMEA, the innovator of high-resolution cameras with a unique feature set, has expanded the xiX-XL family by introducing one of the highest resolution cameras using a global shutter Sony IMX661 sensor.
These cutting-edge color and monochrome camera models deliver exceptional image quality and performance, catering to the evolving demands of industrial applications.
Offering ultra-high resolution, the MX1276 models boast an impressive 127.6 MPix, with an effective resolution of 13,400 x 9,528 pixels. This ensures detailed and precise imaging, which is essential for applications requiring meticulous inspection and analysis or aerial mapping and photogrammetry.
Unlike the typical rolling shutter found in high-resolution sensors, the global shutter technology of this sensor captures fast-moving objects without distortion, preserving image integrity even in high-speed environments.
With high-speed frame rates, the camera achieves more than 20 frames per second, supporting rapid image acquisition and enhancing efficiency in time-sensitive industrial processes.
Other key features include:
-
Compact and Lightweight Design: Despite its Medium-format sensor size measuring 56 mm diagonally, the camera maintains a compact form factor of approximately 80 x 80 mm, optimizing space utilization and integration flexibility.
-
PCIe Gen 3 interface: The camera features a PCI Express Gen 3 interface, ensuring swift data transfer with the lowest latency and CPU load. Additionally, allowing long-distance connection and easy multiplexing of several cameras into a multi-camera system.
-
Detachable Camera Head: An additional way to fine-tune the camera is through the ability of these models to separate the sensor head from the camera body. This not only keeps the already minimal sensor temperature down but also enables the combination of several camera heads in a multi-camera setup.
-
Extra Cooling: The default heat dissipation option is a fan module attached to the back of the camera. To eliminate vibrations and decrease heat further, a liquid cooling module can be added.
-
Lens Mounting: Several passive and active lens mounts are planned to be available, starting with a passive M72 mount and an active Hasselblad mount. The active mounts will provide remote control of aperture, focus, and image stabilization.
The new camera models joining the XIMEA portfolio offer the following parameters:
127 Mpix, Sony IMX661, monochrome, 13400 x 9528, Medium format, Global shutter, 21 FPS
127 Mpix, Sony IMX661, color, 13400 x 9528, Medium format, Global shutter, 21 FPS
High resolution, unbeatable form factor, attractive price and customizability make these cameras excel in various applications.
