The 2nd “Just Shenzhen Just Young” Short Video Contest Held by The SFIEC Officially Launched
Shenzhen - The 2nd “Just Shenzhen Just Young” Video Contest held by the Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation(SFIEC) kicks off today. The solicitation period will last till October 22nd. The theme of this year’s contest is “Green Up Grow Up.” It is specifically aimed at young creators from both domestic and international backgrounds to gather unique and creative short video entries that showcase Shenzhen’s achievements in ecological and international development.
The Contest is hosted by the Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation and jointly sponsored by 12 universities, research institutions, and media organizations, including Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen. They arealso collaborating with social organizations such as the Shenzhen Mangrove Wetlands Conservation Foundation (MCF) and Vanke Foundation to jointly organize this event.
As the world’s first “International Mangrove Center,” Shenzhen’s mangrove wetlands are a gathering place for many rare and endangered bird species and a beloved natural landscape for its citizens. Participants are suggested to showcase Shenzhen’s green environment and natural beauty from various perspectives, including the conservation and utilization of the mangrove wetlands, the creation of “micro-oases” in communities, green transportation, and environmentally friendly lifestyles.
There are no specific professional requirements for participants. Various formats, including live streaming, variety shows, flash mobs, short documentaries, Vlogs, are acceptable. Participants who can closely integrate their works with the theme of the event and the elements of Shenzhen are welcome to showcase their creativity and talent. To participate in the Contest, participants are required to post their videos on Sina Weibo and Douyin (TikTok) and mention the Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation.
The inaugural contest has already garnered widespread attention and recognition. It not only attracted the participation of numerous young internet celebrities and creators but also received coverage from over 120 domestic and international media outlets. This year, the Contest will have several new co-organizers, including international schools and GRT Satellite Channel’s “Silk Road Story,” which specializes in storytelling related to the Belt and Road Initiative.
