WINNIPEG, MB: STAR Building Materials, a Winnipeg building materials supplier, has announced a new feature on its website to better serve its customers: Quicklists.

Many STAR Building Materials customers are contractors who regularly order the same items. These contractors were looking for a simpler way to sort, store, and access lists of the items they order most frequently, expediting the shopping process.

STAR’s new Quicklists feature provides exactly that; Quicklists allows shoppers with a user account to create named lists and to populate those lists with commonly purchased items. They can also include categories, like shed, garage, and fence, into those lists in order to quickly access the product category pages they’re looking for.

A representative for STAR Building Materials said the change came about in response to a desire to make the website easier to use for contractors. “Here at STAR, we serve all kinds of customers, including hobbyists, DIYers, and contractors,” said the representative. “When it came to improving the customer experience for contractors, we realized that most contractors are buying similar materials regularly because they’re serving a particular niche, or because those are the manufacturers and products they trust. Quicklists makes it much simpler for those contractors to purchase the materials and equipment they rely on. We hope that by making their shopping experience that much easier, we give them the opportunity to focus on what they do best: Delivering results for their clients.”

For over 65 years, STAR Building Materials has provided contractors in Winnipeg with access to high-quality building materials, equipment, and other supplies.
