Ann Arbor, MI – AgelessRx, a pioneering longevity platform and telehealth provider, is recruiting participants for its newly launched XPRIZE Healthspan Trial - a first-of-its-kind study designed to investigate whether a multi-drug protocol can slow or even reverse biological aging in healthy adults.

This anti-aging clinical trial is part of the $101 million XPRIZE Healthspan competition, a global initiative that challenges researchers to develop interventions capable of extending the period of life spent in good health, not just lifespan. AgelessRx is one of 40 official XPRIZE teams from around the world selected to advance research in this transformative area of medicine.

AgelessRx’s involvement centers on testing a combination of three well-studied compounds - Metformin, Rapamycin, and Acarbose - believed to positively impact aging-related pathways. The 12-month, randomized controlled trial aims to monitor changes in participants' biological age using epigenetic methylation clocks, blood biomarkers, physical performance tests, and quality-of-life assessments.

Expanding Research Horizons

“Unlike most clinical trials focused on a single condition or disease, this study targets aging itself,” said Dr. Sajad Zalzala, co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of AgelessRx. “We’re looking at a broader picture - how we can compress morbidity and extend the number of years people live in good health.”

AgelessRx is currently enrolling 125 participants between the ages of 40 and 85. Participants must be in generally good health and willing to commit to the full duration of the trial, including regular lab testing and remote medical consultations. The entire process is coordinated virtually through AgelessRx’s HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform, making it easy and accessible for individuals across the U.S.

By leveraging its unique infrastructure, AgelessRx offers one of the only fully remote clinical trials in the XPRIZE competition. This decentralized approach allows participants to contribute to cutting-edge science without traveling to research facilities or altering their daily routines.

This is not the company’s first foray into longevity research.
