Finding a dentist you trust takes longer than it should. You scroll through Google Maps, read a handful of reviews that all say “friendly staff and clean office,” and somehow still feel like you’re guessing. This list cuts through that. Whether you’re near Chattanooga, settling into Franklin, or living out in Harrison, here are five Tennessee dentists worth knowing about.

Hixson Pike Dental — Harrison, TN

Hixson Pike Dental is a general dentistry practice in Harrison that handles the full range of routine and restorative care. The office has a reputation for being thorough without being pushy — no upselling you on treatments you don’t need. If you’ve been putting off a cleaning or have been dealing with something you’ve been ignoring for too long, this is a solid place to start.

Patients looking for a professional dentist in Harrison TN will find an office that keeps things practical. Appointments tend to run on time, the staff is straightforward about what your insurance covers, and Dr. Pike’s team doesn’t make you feel judged for whatever state your teeth are in when you walk in.

LB Dentistry — Franklin, TN

Franklin has no shortage of dental offices, but LB Dentistry stands out for a few specific reasons. The practice focuses on making dental visits less of an ordeal — which sounds like something every dentist says, but the reviews here suggest they actually deliver on it. Patients mention feeling heard, which isn’t always the case at busier practices.

If you want a professional dentist in Franklin TN who takes time to explain what’s happening in your mouth rather than just pointing at an X-ray and nodding, LB Dentistry is worth a look. They offer general and cosmetic dental services, and the office is easy to get to from most parts of Williamson County.

According to the American Dental Association, adults should visit a dentist at least once a year — twice if you have a history of gum disease or cavities. Having a consistent office you actually like makes that a lot easier to follow through on.

Marks & Dill DDS — Chattanooga, TN

Implants are a big deal. They’re expensive, the process takes months, and the outcome depends entirely on the skill of the person placing them. That’s why it’s worth being selective.

Marks & Dill DDS has a dedicated implant program in Chattanooga with a process built around getting the fit and placement right the first time. They use modern imaging to plan each case before anything goes into your mouth, and they’re upfront about the timeline and total cost — no vague estimates that balloon later.

If you’re researching quality dental implants in Chattanooga TN, this practice is one of the more established options in the area. They handle the full process in-house, from the initial consult through to the final crown, so you’re not bouncing between specialists.

Tennessee Valley Dental Group — Knoxville, TN

Tennessee Valley Dental Group has been around long enough that a lot of Knoxville families have multiple generations going to the same office. That kind of longevity usually means something — it’s hard to keep patients coming back across decades if the care isn’t consistent.

The practice covers general dentistry, orthodontics, and pediatric care, so it works for households where you’d rather not manage separate offices for different family members. The staff is reportedly good with kids who are anxious about appointments, which is harder to find than it sounds.

Cumberland Dental — Nashville, TN

Cumberland Dental is a Nashville practice with a focus on restorative work — crowns, bridges, and full-mouth rehabilitation for patients dealing with more significant dental issues. If you’ve had work done elsewhere that didn’t hold up, or you’re coming in after years of avoiding the dentist, they’re experienced with cases that need more than a standard cleaning and a couple of fillings.

The office is in a convenient part of Nashville and accepts most major insurance plans. For patients who have been dreading a longer treatment plan, the team here is known for laying out realistic expectations rather than giving you the optimistic version that falls apart at the first follow-up.

Good dental care doesn’t have to be complicated to find — it just helps to know where to look. Any of these five offices are worth a call if you’re due for a visit.
