Longnook ETF LLC, Launches Longnook Uncommon Compounders ETF
New active ETF is seeded with Founder and Chief Investment Officer David Daglio’s personal capital, converting his own portfolio into the fund’s initial holdings
Longnook ETF LLC, a founder-led registered investment adviser, today announced the launch of the Longnook Uncommon Compounders ETF (Ticker: LUNC) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The actively managed fund features an unconstrained global mandate, seeking long-term capital appreciation by searching for well-priced “uncommon compounders,” defined as overlooked companies demonstrating durable competitive advantages and strong returns on capital.
LUNC is led by Founder and Chief Investment Officer David Daglio, who brings more than 25 years of institutional asset management experience to the fund. During his tenure as Chief Investment Officer at Mellon (formerly The Boston Company), Daglio oversaw $500 billion in assets, personally managed more than $10 billion in long-only and hedged equity strategies, and earned recognition from Barron’s, Institutional Investor, and Forbes. The fund’s investment process evaluates companies across five dimensions: price, sustainable advantage, governance, balance sheet, and risk. This results in a concentrated portfolio of about 30 high-conviction ideas. The LUNC portfolio represents the direct evolution of the fundamental discipline he honed as an investor and business manager.
To manage this focused mandate, Longnook utilizes a proprietary AI tool engineered specifically for decision hygiene. While Daglio retains ultimate authority, the fund’s AI acts as an algorithmic skeptic, utilizing his pre-defined rules to objectively analyze information as it unfolds. This reduces the behavioral bias and thesis drift that often plagues active management.
“This fund represents a portion of the capital I manage for my family when seeking to generate absolute returns,” said Daglio. “Investor behavioral bias is an inherent Achilles heel in our industry. LUNC pairs the time-tested approach I have refined over my career with a ‘devil’s advocate in the loop’ AI engine designed to keep human emotion out of portfolio management. Now, we are making this exact strategy accessible to any individual.”
LUNC delivers a concentrated equity strategy typically reserved for family offices within the accessible and tax efficient wrapper of a modern ETF.

Important Information
The Fund’s investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses must be considered carefully before investing. This and other important information is contained in the prospectus, which may be obtained by following the links Prospectus and Summary Prospectus or by calling +1.215.330.4476.
Tax-efficient Strategies. ETFs are generally considered tax-efficient due to their structure; however, tax efficiency is not guaranteed and may not prevent losses in declining markets.
Non-Diversification Risk. Because the Fund is non-diversified, it may be more sensitive to economic, business, political or other changes affecting individual issuers or investments than a diversified fund, which may result in greater fluctuation in the value of the Shares and greater risk of loss.
Equity Investing Risk. An investment in the Fund involves risks similar to those of investing in any fund holding equity securities, such as market fluctuations, changes in interest rates and perceived trends in stock prices. The values of equity securities could decline generally or could underperform other investments. In addition, securities may decline in value due to factors affecting a specific issuer, market or securities markets generally.
AI Model Risk. The Fund relies heavily on a proprietary AI-driven research model as well as data and information supplied by third parties that are utilized in the research process. To the extent the model does not perform as designed or as intended, the Fund’s strategy may not be successfully implemented and the Fund may lose value. If the input data is incorrect or incomplete, any decisions made in reliance thereon may lead to the inclusion or exclusion of securities that would have been excluded or included had the data been correct and complete.
Management Risk. The Fund is actively managed and may not meet its investment objective based on the Adviser’s, Sub-Adviser’s, or portfolio manager’s success or failure to implement investment strategies for the Fund. The success of the Fund’s investment program depends largely on the investment techniques and risk analyses applied by the Adviser, Sub-Adviser, and the portfolio manager and the skill of the Adviser, Sub-Adviser, and/or portfolio manager in evaluating, selecting, and monitoring the Fund’s assets. The Fund could experience losses (realized and unrealized) if the judgment of the Adviser, Sub-Adviser, or portfolio manager about markets or sectors or the attractiveness of particular investments made for the Fund’s portfolio prove to be incorrect. It is possible the investment techniques and risk analyses employed on behalf of the Fund will not produce the desired results. Absent unusual circumstances (e.g., the Adviser determines a different security has higher liquidity but offers a similar investment profile as a recommended security), the Adviser will generally follow the Sub-Adviser’s investment recommendations to buy, hold, and sell securities and financial instruments.
New Fund Risk. The Fund is a recently organized investment company with no operating history. As a result, prospective investors have no track record or history on which to base their investment decision. There can be no assurance that the Fund will grow to or maintain an economically viable size.
An investment in the Fund involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) trade like stocks, are subject to investment risk, fluctuate in market value and may trade at prices above or below the ETF’s net asset value (NAV), and are not individually redeemable directly with the ETF. Brokerage commissions and ETF expenses will reduce returns. ETFs are subject to specific risks, depending on the nature of the underlying strategy of the Fund, which should be considered carefully when making investment decisions. For a complete description of the Fund’s principal investment risks, please refer to the prospectus.
Shares of the Funds are not FDIC Insured, may lose value, and have no bank guarantee.
The Fund is distributed by PINE Distributors LLC. The Fund’s investment adviser is Empowered Funds, LLC, which is doing business as ETF Architect. Longnook ETF LLC serves as the Sub-Adviser to the Fund. PINE
