VA’s authorization of 2F Game Warden advances the “Ready. Secure. Faster.” strategy for delivering Veteran-facing capabilities

Second Front (2F), a public-benefit software company powering software for the free world, today announced that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for 2F Game Warden, providing vendors a direct pathway to ship in-demand capabilities across the VA.

The VA’s ATO for Game Warden, a pre-accredited DevSecOps platform, helps the department address emerging priorities while lowering procurement cost and risk on multi-year IT efforts. Game Warden also supports the VA’s prioritization of AI and automation, both by reducing duplicate assessment work across government for certifying cloud service offerings and by giving software providers built-in AI capabilities, such as generative AI agents for automated CVE research and vulnerability remediation, that help them avoid unnecessary delays while maintaining VA security standards.

Automated security pipelines and container scanning, another AI capability built into deployment for 2F Game Warden customers, extend the VA’s existing body-of-evidence process and reduce the preparation lift of the VA’s “ATO in 60 Days” memo, including the post-award security and privacy documentation requirements.

2F is already supporting commercial software deployments for the Veterans Community Care Program, which spans eligibility, claims and reimbursement processing, and provider network data. According to the VA, the program contributed more than $36 billion to local economies in FY 2025.

“The VA’s mission spans care, benefits, and services for millions of Veterans, and protecting their data demands some of the strictest security standards in government,” said Nick Woodruff, General Manager, North America at Second Front. “Earning this authorization further shows Game Warden is built for any regulated environment, from defense to civilian missions. Through our go-to-market partnerships with our customers, we help software providers reach the VA faster, so Veterans see new capabilities sooner.”

The VA has issued more FedRAMP Certifications than any other agency. For an agency with that proven commitment to secure commercial technology, Game Warden offers a faster path to mission delivery.

By extending Game Warden across FedRAMP, DOW Impact Levels, JWICS, and GovRAMP, Second Front offers a single platform that accelerates commercial innovation for Veterans and active service members alike.
