Experienced retirement plan consultant expands firm’s support for Mid-Atlantic employers

Prime Capital Financial announces the addition of Ekaterina “Katie” Sheliga as a retirement plan consultant, expanding the firm's retirement consulting presence in the Mid-Atlantic region. Sheliga brings more than 15 years of experience in financial services and the retirement industry.

Sheliga most recently served as sales director of strategic accounts at PCS Retirement, where she managed relationships with national broker-dealers, registered investment advisors and wealth management firms. Previously, she held leadership roles at the American Retirement Association and The Standard, focusing on institutional partnerships and retirement plan sales.

“Katie knows this business, and she cares about the people behind every retirement plan,” said Jania Stout, president of retirement and wellness at Prime Capital Financial. “She’s worked in consulting, recordkeeping and strategic partnerships, so she understands how the pieces fit together. That’s someone you want in your corner when you’re making decisions about your employees’ futures.”

In her new role, Sheliga will focus on developing relationships with employers, advisors and centers of influence. She brings to the role a foundation in retirement consulting developed at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., where she began her career working with business owners and executives to develop retirement programs aligned with their organizational goals and fiduciary responsibilities.

“I've spent my career working across different sides of the retirement industry, but what has always motivated me is the impact we can have on people's lives,” said Sheliga. “I'm eager to return to working directly with employers and their employees, helping more people build a path toward a retirement they can look forward to. The opportunity to do that at Prime Capital Financial, alongside Jania and an incredible team, makes this next chapter especially meaningful.”

Sheliga serves as Northeast regional leader for We Inspire Promote Network (WIPN), supporting the advancement of women in the retirement industry.
