Acquisition expands Waverly’s presence in Oregon

Waverly Advisors, LLC (“Waverly”), a federally registered investment adviser (“RIA”) that specializes in investment management, financial planning and wealth management services for high-net-worth individuals, families, corporate retirement plans and institutional clients, has acquired MCS Family Wealth Advisors (“MCS”), a wealth management firm with offices in Bend and Eugene, Oregon, and approximately $151 million in assets under management (“AUM”) (as of 6.30.2026). The acquisition further strengthens Waverly’s footprint in the Pacific Northwest.

Founded in 1991 by Michael Stalker, MCS provides financial planning, retirement planning and investment management services to high-net-worth individuals and families. Over more than three decades, MCS has built a strong reputation for disciplined wealth management and personalized advice. Michael and Jeff Yamada, who has worked alongside Michael since 2004, will join Waverly as Partners and Wealth Advisors.

“MCS is a highly respected firm dedicated to helping clients preserve and grow wealth across generations,” said Justin Russell, President and CEO of Waverly. “MCS is an excellent addition to our growing presence in the Pacific Northwest, and we are excited to welcome Michael and Jeff to Waverly.”

“I founded MCS as a fiduciary with the mission to ‘transform money from a source of worry to a resource for fulfillment’,” said Stalker. “Waverly shares that philosophy and brings broader planning, investment, tax and estate resources to support current and future clients.”

The acquisition of MCS marks Waverly’s 37th transaction since accepting an equity investment in December 2021 from Wealth Partners Capital Group (“WPCG”) and HGGC’s Aspire Holdings platform. The transaction closed on October 9, 2026.

“MCS is a natural fit for Waverly and reflects the firm's continued momentum in attracting high-quality firms,” said Peter Wheatley, Director at WPCG. “Waverly has been intentional about partnering with firms that share its commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience, and MCS exemplifies that approach.”

FP Transitions advised MCS on the transaction. Financial and legal terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
