Appellate Legend Tom Wright Inducted into 2026 Lawdragon 500 Hall of Fame

Founding partner honored for more than five decades of exceptional legal advocacy

Tom Wright, founding partner of Wright Close Barger & Guzman, has earned selection into the prestigious 2026 Lawdragon 500 Hall of Fame for his appellate practice.

For more than a decade, Lawdragon 500 has recognized outstanding lawyers who have made remarkable contributions to the legal profession.

“Being named to the Lawdragon Hall of Fame is a significant milestone, particularly coming from an organization that thoroughly vets the impact of legal professionals,” said Mr. Wright. “Throughout my years of practice, my focus has always been on the intellectual rigor and precision that appellate law requires. To have that work recognized on a national level is incredibly rewarding, and I remain as committed as ever to the pursuit of excellence in the courtroom.”

Mr. Wright has been a practicing attorney for more than 45 years. The Houston-based attorney has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Law since 1992 and in Civil Appellate Law since 1993 by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

As one of the most-recognized appellate attorneys in Texas, Mr. Wright has argued cases in the Texas Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 9th Circuits and most of the 14 intermediate appellate courts in Texas.

His other accolades include recognition by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Texas Super Lawyers, and Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America.
