Three Customers Share Their Insights on Deep Dive

Independent fire litigation consultant Greg McCullough has been using Deep Dive extensively in his discovery work, including to read and understand electrical engineering documents. When he asked Deep Dive to find any over-amperage events in a specific timeframe, it returned the correct events and highlighted the exact passages in the technical documents.

McCullough said, “Deep Dive changes the game of search from having to know exactly what you want to find into knowing the questions you want the answers to. This is a game-changer because it leverages the power of AI to review, correlate and extract the best of the best facts that answer the questions you ask. The documents I have found using Deep Dive have helped to shape the direction of the cases that I am working on. Once you have tried Deep Dive you won't want to turn back!”

Benjamin Kennedy, managing director of Adio, a leading ediscovery service provider in Australia and New Zealand, works with a mix of plaintiffs and defense firms that rely on his company for their document management needs. With Deep Dive, Adio has introduced new processes that scale with data volumes, having already used the tool on matters with 500,000 documents.

"We have not had a tool like this before," said Kennedy. "Deep Dive helps find needles in haystacks. It allows Adio and lawyers to get across large document sets faster to get to the evidence and guide the discovery and investigative effort."

ILS, which specializes in ediscovery for the plaintiffs' bar, is currently handling a large multi-state mass tort litigation with millions of documents. During active depositions, ILS’ client was impressed by how easily their teams could use Deep Dive to get insights by asking plain-language questions. The tool allows any member of the deposition team to get answers with examples of evidence and citations to specific documents. In less than a month, two dozen users have asked over 650 questions.

"Deep Dive stands heads and shoulders above other tools in doing the heavy lifting for attorneys," said Elizabeth Koenig, Senior Vice President of Consulting Services at ILS. "Our clients can now ask natural language questions and have an answer in seconds. The accessibility of the tool is even leading to senior partners wanting to ask the AI questions themselves, rather than relying on more junior attorneys to get the information for them."
