Hudl Completes Acquisition of Titan Sports, Expanding Performance Tracking Ecosystem
With Titan now part of the Hudl ecosystem, coaches at all levels get the full picture—video, stats, and athlete performance data.
Hudl, the world’s leading provider of cloud-based technology connecting video and data for the sports industry, has completed the acquisition of Titan Sports.
Combining Hudl’s expertise in video analysis with Titan’s accessible GPS player tracking empowers coaches and athletes with:
- Objective training and performance insights: Know exactly how fast players ran, how hard they worked, and when someone might be pushing too hard and risking injury.
- Deeper athlete engagement: Athletes can create compelling highlights, compete on team leaderboards, and check out heat maps showing exactly where they spent their time on the field.
- Everything in one place: Combine video with physical data, so coaches can get a comprehensive understanding of what happened and why.
Titan’s GPS tracking system is engineered to make performance technology accessible for all levels. Its lightweight wearables capture over 150 metrics, while the companion software turns performance data into coach-friendly visuals. With customizable dashboards and seamless exports, coaches get the insights needed to make performance analysis easier and more actionable.
Titan, founded by Stephane Smith and Yves Smith in 2013, gained traction in American football and soccer by turning performance tracking into a competitive edge. As champions of speed and explosiveness, Titan makes performance analysis fun and meaningful through features like athlete leaderboards and sport-specific metrics—like the “truck stick”—that motivate athletes to compete and improve. By replacing guesswork with clear, objective data, Titan helps coaches make smarter decisions, keep players safer, and train with purpose.
“From day one, Titan’s mission has been to give coaches the tools to understand and apply data—no matter their experience level,” said Stephane Smith, CEO of Titan. “Joining Hudl allows us to build faster, reach more teams, and continue helping coaches and athletes across the globe train smarter and perform at their best.”
The addition of Titan makes Hudl’s performance tracking tools more accessible to teams and coaches at any level, while Hudl’s WIMU wearable continues to serve professional organizations. Together, they offer teams flexible options to match their needs and goals.
“We’re focused on giving every team the tools to capture, analyze, and act on performance data,” said Greg Nelson, SVP at Hudl. “Adding Titan strengthens that mission by making verified physical data more accessible—so coaches can train smarter, get their teams game-ready, and help athletes track their progress and build confidence in their development.”
