WEST ELM LAUNCHES NEW COLLABORATION WITH FASHION TASTEMAKER AND BEST-SELLING CHILDREN’S BOOK AUTHOR, EVA CHEN

The Colorful Collaboration is Inspired by Chen’s Family’s Love of Reading

The fashion tastemaker and mother of three has written nine acclaimed children’s books, including The New York Times’ best seller Juno Valentine and the Magical Shoes and I Am Golden. Chen’s family’s love of reading influenced the designs of her new 34-piece children’s assortment for West Elm which features furniture, textiles, lighting and decorative accessories.

Select items within the new Eva Chen for West Elm collaboration were fashioned specifically to store children’s books and to encourage reading. The Lofted Bed features a reading nook, the Chair and a Half sits two comfortably and the Tent Floor Cushion provides a cozy spot to curl up with a good book. The Arched Reading Bookcase sits perfectly low for children to easily select their book of choice.

Chen states, "There are nods to literacy and the love of books woven throughout. The Arched Reading Bookcase is intended for kids to literally kick up their feet and read. The capsule is a little bit quirky, not centered around being too perfect and ultimately super livable.”
