Allison Transmission Represented in Three of Every Four Trucks Showcased at World of Concrete

Allison Transmission was well represented at the World of Concrete, a premier tradeshow for the construction and masonry industries, which took place January 17-19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Three out of every four trucks exhibited at the show were equipped with Allison fully automatic transmissions.

“Allison’s commanding presence at World of Concrete is representative of the increased market share of Allison fully automatic transmissions in the construction industry over manual and automated manual transmissions,” said Molly Doyle, Director, Americas Marketing, Allison Transmission. “We’re proud to partner with several leading OEMs and body builders in the medium- and heavy-duty truck market to provide our mutual customers with propulsion solutions that deliver premium performance and unrivaled reliability and durability to improve the productivity and efficiency of their vehicles.”

During the tradeshow, Allison was the lead sponsor of the Get Tough Challenge ride and drive hosted by Western Star Trucks. Participants could choose their desired truck to compete in the drive challenge with the goal of earning a top score. Eight of the 10 vehicles available were equipped with Allison transmissions, providing an opportunity for drivers to experience firsthand the industry-leading performance, maneuverability and differentiated value of the company’s fully automatic transmissions.

Allison’s patented Continuous Power Technology™ enables its transmissions to deliver smooth, seamless, full-power shifts and superior acceleration and startability. Each shift is made automatically at the right time, allowing drivers to precisely manage speed and efficiency. Seamless automatic shifts protect the entire driveline, as well as the cargo, while providing a smooth and comfortable ride for drivers.
