LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESS Newswire / October 15, 2026 / Shook & Stone Personal Injury and Disability Lawyers today announced that partner Leonard H. Stone has been included in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for Workers' Compensation Law - Claimants. His Best Lawyers profile is available online.

Best Lawyers' recognition is based on peer review. No fees are accepted for consideration or inclusion. The 2027 edition was informed by more than 30 million historical evaluations, including 3.8 million evaluations from more than 32,000 voting lawyers. Best Lawyers recognition is not an endorsement of any particular lawyer or law firm, nor does it guarantee a particular outcome in a legal matter.

"I've spent my career on both sides of workers' compensation claims, and that experience has shaped the way I represent injured workers today. I'm honored to have that work recognized by my peers, but what motivates me is using that experience to help people understand their options and pursue the benefits they've earned," said Stone.

Stone is a founding partner of Shook & Stone and has practiced law in Nevada since 1995. With more than 30 years of legal experience, he has dedicated much of his career to representing individuals and families in complex workers' compensation, personal injury, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death matters. He began his career as an insurance defense attorney, gaining valuable insight into how insurance companies investigate claims, assess liability, evaluate damages, and develop litigation strategies. Today, he draws upon that experience to advocate for injured individuals, pursue meaningful compensation, and hold negligent parties accountable.

Stone currently serves as President-Elect of the Nevada Justice Association (NJA) and was recently honored with the Association's Badger Award in recognition of his contributions to the organization and its mission. A longtime member of the NJA's Board of Governors, he has held numerous leadership positions and remains actively involved in advancing consumer protections, safeguarding the rights of injured individuals, and preserving access to Nevada's civil justice system. He has also advocated before Nevada lawmakers on legislation affecting injured and disabled individuals. Stone is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and the American Association for Justice.

Stone earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Brandeis University in 1991 and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1995.
