Kiefer Sage Launches Martcart Zeos, a Connected Mobility Cart Designed to Transform Retail Fleet Management

The industry's most innovative mobility cart brings advanced fleet intelligence, predictive maintenance, and future-ready connectivity to retail floors

ROGERS, AR / ACCESS Newswire / January 22, 2026 / Kiefer Sage, the Northwest Arkansas-based company building a connected ecosystem of products and assembly capabilities, today announced the launch of Martcart Zeos. The most advanced connected mobility cart to date, Zeos is designed to modernize how retailers manage and maintain their mobility fleets and improve the in-store experience for overlooked and underserved shoppers.

For decades, mobility carts have functioned as static equipment with limited insight into performance or uptime. Inspired by the evolution of connected vehicle technology, Zeos changes that model by introducing a connected, intelligent mobility platform that helps retailers keep carts on the floor longer, reduce maintenance issues, and move from reactive fixes to proactive fleet management. Built with integrated cellular connectivity, Zeos enables carts to self-monitor and report performance data, providing visibility into location, battery health, and operational status so retailers can identify and address issues before they disrupt the shopper experience.

Beyond operational efficiency, Zeos addresses a critical accessibility need. Nearly 44 million Americans live with mobility impairments, and for many, access to a reliable mobility cart determines whether they can shop independently. By combining function, connectivity, and inclusivity, Zeos demonstrates how practical innovation can drive both operational efficiency and customer experience.

"The mobile shopping cart my father invented back in 1983 was designed as a functional tool, and it has largely remained that way ever since," said Erin Kiefer, president and owner of Kiefer Sage. "With Zeos, we've married function and innovation to reimagine what a mobility cart can be. This is no longer a dated piece of equipment. It's a connected asset that helps retailers operate most efficiently while delivering a more reliable experience for every shopper who depends on it."

In December 2025, Kiefer Sage conducted a pilot program of the Zeos cart at select partner retailers. Early feedback has been strong, with nine out of ten pilot program participants reporting that they would recommend this cart to others.

"Mobility carts haven't kept pace with modern retail until now. With Zeos, we rethought everything - from increasing basket size and battery life to using materials that maximize product durability - with the goal of building a mobility cart that's ready for what comes next," said Justin Sparks, CEO of Kiefer Sage. "Zeos opens the door to entirely new ways retailers can support and engage an underserved population over time. Looking forward, this foundation can support optional in-cart messaging, insights, and experiences designed specifically for this community without compromising privacy or control."

As Zeos data capabilities evolve, Martcart plans to pilot optional advanced services in partnership with retailers, including in-cart messaging that will allow retailers to turn cart-generated insights into targeted ads, creating a richer experience for shoppers. Any future data services or advertising features will be opt-in, retailer-controlled, and introduced only after the pilot phase.
