OORT Partners with Leading Universities and Industry Leaders to Advance Mobility and Decentralized AI Research

Teaming Up with Experts to Develop Smarter, Safer, and More Connected Vehicles Using Decentralized AI.

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / August 22, 2024 / OORT, a pioneering cloud platform for decentralized AI, is proud to announce its partnership with the National Science Foundation's (NSF) eCAT (Electric, Connected, and Autonomous Technologies for Mobility) IUCRC research center.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the development of next-generation electrification, resilient sensing/perception, real-time edge computing, and smart infrastructure techniques, all aimed at enhancing the safety and efficiency of electric, connected, and autonomous vehicles.

As an industrial partner, OORT will collaborate closely with leading institutions in this project, which has officially kicked off on July 10th - including Wayne State University, Clarkson University, the University of North Texas, the University of Delaware, and Oakland University. The focus of this partnership will be on "Research Thrust #4: Infrastructure for Connectivity and Safety." OORT's advanced products, such as the OORT Datahub and OORT Storage, will play a pivotal role in supporting the research and development efforts of this initiative.

OORT will also work alongside industrial leaders, including leading American Data Storage Western Digital, to push the boundaries of decentralized AI and data research. This strategic partnership aims to merge cutting-edge technology with industry expertise to explore and expand the potential of mobility and AI innovations.

"Our team is thrilled to be part of this initiative," said Dr. Max Li, CEO of OORT. "Decentralization technology has immense potential, and we are excited to see it applied in real-world products, with autonomous vehicles being an ideal starting point."

Prof. Caisheng Wang, the eCAT Center Director at Wayne State University, echoed this sentiment, stating, "Collaboration with industry partners like OORT is essential for advancing next-generation mobility technologies and maintaining U.S. leadership in this critical field."

OORT is dedicated to expanding its collaborative efforts with research centers across the United States and globally, contributing to the decentralized AI industry. By fostering strong relationships with both academic and industrial partners, OORT aims to create a robust ecosystem for research and development, driving the future of decentralized AI and mobility solutions.
