Too often, believers find themselves stuck—waiting for clarity, hesitating to move, unsure of what comes next. R.A.M. THE THICKET by Jacqueline S. Scott is a bold challenge to stop waiting and start walking in faith.

Drawing from the biblical account of Abraham and the ram caught in the thicket (Genesis 22), Scott reminds readers that God’s provision is already in place. The problem isn’t that the answer isn’t there… it’s that fear, doubt, and complacency keep many from stepping into it. Faith isn’t passive; it requires action. Through scripture-based wisdom and practical insights, Scott helps readers recognize what’s holding them back and take steps toward the life God has prepared.

This book is not about abstract theology or passive encouragement. It is a direct, no-excuses call to movement. Scott introduces a three-step approach to overcoming hesitation and stepping forward in confidence:

• Recognize the Thicket – Identify the distractions, doubts, and fears keeping you from moving forward.
• Acknowledge God’s Provision – Trust that what you need is already within reach… you just have to act.
• Step Forward in Faith – Move with purpose, refusing to let uncertainty keep you from God’s plan.

Scott also tackles a common struggle among believers: confusing waiting on God with avoiding responsibility. Many people claim to be “waiting on the Lord” when, in reality, they are standing still because of fear. R.A.M. THE THICKET dismantles this mindset, showing how faith and action go hand in hand. Using relatable examples and straightforward biblical teaching, Scott makes it clear… waiting for the perfect moment isn’t faith. Moving forward in trust is.

About the Author

Jacqueline S. Horton-Scott has spent decades studying, teaching, and writing about the Word of God. Called into faith in 1978 and ministry in 1979, she has dedicated her life to guiding others toward spiritual clarity and transformation.

Her journey has never been about titles or recognition… it has always been about obedience. Scott stepped away from traditional ministry roles to focus on writing and teaching, believing that real faith must be lived, not just talked about. Through her work, she pushes believers to step beyond hesitation and into the fullness of God’s purpose for their lives.

Scott’s passion is helping others develop a faith that is active, not passive. She believes prayer, discernment, and spiritual growth aren’t optional... they are necessary. R.A.M. THE THICKET is her latest effort to equip and encourage readers to take responsibility for their spiritual journey and move forward with confidence.

Time to Move Forward

R.A.M. THE THICKET is not for those who are content with standing still. It is for those who know they are called to more but need the courage to take the next step.
