Saving result of Lithium car battery v.s. traditional lead acid car battery
After invented more than 100 years, the lead acid battery was developed by very mature technology and application with AGM, EFB etc as maintenance free and all sealed without fluid leakage. But the rapid change of lithium battery, esp. LiFePO4 recently makes the replacement in a fast track by car users and garage technicians due to below reasons:
1. The traditional H5, H6 lead acid battery used in car life cycle is some 2 or 3 years, while lithium car battery can sustain 5-6 years, much longer life.
2. With same size the new lithium car battery is some 50% even in some types can be 30% of traditional lead acid battery weight, which resulted in good benchmark of long distance usage for fuel saving.
3. Safety wise lithium battery esp. LiFePO4 battery develops into a mature stage now with much more stable performance then ternary (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt ) battery 10 years ago, a lot of car companies like BYD, Tesla, VW, Mercedes Benz etc are adopting LiFePO4 for their EV car battery, let along to say car start stop battery.
