Freelancing has evolved a lot since the first platforms began the idea, and some platforms have become the primary source of income for many during a side hustle. Anyone can pick up work or look for people to perform their tasks on many freelancing platforms. YourWork (formerly UrWurk) combines two primary freelancing media to form a third type that works as a micro freelance platform and auction or bidding platform for clients and project owners.

CEO Nazim Elzein explains that the platform targets IGAD countries, including Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and many others. One of the main things that distinguish YourWork from other media is the advantages related to the method of payment while also flexibility in the options and functions of the platform. YourWork is one of the only two platforms offering both the microservice platform as well as bidding services for freelancers.

Freelancers working through YourWork have easy methods to receive money and pay for projects. Buyers of services can pay through PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, and even a Sudanese payment method called SyberPay. In contrast, sellers can claim their money by transferring it to any Sudanese bank account or withdrawing through Payoneer and TransferWise. As crypto is rising, users can also make payments in cryptocurrency.

Levels show how experienced or trustworthy a buyer or seller is and the rate of the level from beginner to expert. Ratings are essential and work as a guide for future projects. For all kinds of experts, online appointments and classes are convenient to manage through YourWork. Payments can be made after stages are completed in a project or after completing the whole project.

A unique feature, "last seen," helps individuals to see when the freelancer was last active before bidding for a project. It all depends on the Gig or portfolio of a freelancer, which will determine how many individuals would want to complete their project through them.

Nazim Elzein has recently revealed that YourWork is planning to rebrand and launch a lite smartphone application while also trying to expand into neighboring countries through partnership or franchising. YourWork also has a sister entity, "UrCunsult," which, with the help of experts, tackles professional projects or consultations in the region.
