SportsBusiness Journal Names STAPLES Center Senior Vice President of Guest Services and Security Danielle Snyder As 2021 Game Changers “Women in Sports Business” Honoree

AEG’s Danielle Snyder, senior vice president of guest services and security at STAPLES Center, has been named an honoree of SportsBusiness Journal’s 2021 Game Changers “Women in Sports Business.”
SportsBusiness Journal (SBJ) first launched its Game Changers: Women in Sports Business series in 2011 to recognize and amplify the stories of women serving as leaders in the sports industry. Since then, SBJ has recognized more than 400 women who have paved the way and made lasting impact in the sports industry for generations to come.
“I am truly honored and humbled to be an honoree of the Sports Business Journal’s 2021 Game Changers. They are the leader in covering our industry and I am so proud to be a part of the incredible group of women industry leaders,” said Danielle Snyder, senior vice president of guest services and security, STAPLES Center.
A seasoned sports and live events professional with more than 20 years of experience, Danielle Snyder oversees the guest services and security management teams, which includes more than 1,000 event team members, and is responsible for the safety and security strategy, overall guest experience and leadership and service training programs at STAPLES Center.
Under her leadership, STAPLES Center has been recognized and received multiple awards and certifications including the National Sports Safety and Security Facility Achievement Award (2010), recognition from the National Basketball Association (NBA) as the arena with the “best practices” in security, and most recently the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR™ Facility Accreditation for prepared facilities.
In 2011, she created and implemented the ENCORE|LA: The Guest Experience, a service-based training program for all team members and executive leaders at STAPLES Center, Microsoft Theater (formerly Nokia Theatre) and L.A. LIVE, to reinforce the AEG mission of “giving the world reason to cheer.”
Snyder began her career at STAPLES Center in 2002 as a Guest Services Manager where she quicky climbed the ranks over the years to assume the roles of Director of Guest Services (2004), Senior Director of Guest Services (2007), Vice President of Guest Services and Security (2011), before assuming her current role as Senior Vice President of Guest Services and Security in 2018. Prior to joining STAPLES Center, Snyder worked for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Honorees were recognized at the SBJ’s Game Changers: Women in Sports Business Conference held in New York on Oct. 20, 2021. The event featured networking and speakers addressing leadership in the workplace, mentoring and the business case for DE&I.
AEG’s previous SBJ Game Changer honorees have included Michele Kajiwara, SVP Premium Sales, STAPLES Center (2019); Jennifer Pope, Vice President of Community Relations, LA Kings (2018) and Katie Pandolfo, General Manager, Dignity Health Sports Park (formerly StubHub Center) in Carson, Calif. (2016).
