guidance for the second quarter of fiscal year 2006, encompassing the reporting
period of April 30, 2006 to July 29, 2006, was for total sales to be in the
range of $855 to $875 million. As of July 6, the Company’s sales may be
characterized as trending toward the high end of this range of
guidance.
Again,
our official sales release for 2Q 2006 is scheduled for Thursday, August 3,
2006, before market opening.
As
of
July 6, 2006, Dollar Tree operated 3,146 stores in 48 states, compared to 2,845
stores in 48 states at July 7, 2005.
