Explanatory Note: On January 10, 2014, Lee Enterprises, Incorporated (the “Company”) originally filed Additional Definitive Proxy Soliciting Materials consisting solely of the Notice. This Amendment No. 1 amends only the following portions of the Notice: (a) the second and fourth paragraphs of the Notice to change the URL Internet address where the Proxy Statement and Annual Report on Form 10-K can be viewed; (b) to change the URL Internet address where stockholders may vote; (c) to change the URL Internet address, telephone number and email address where stockholders may request copies of the proxy materials and (d) to remove the following information that is to be included when requesting proxy materials via email, "The 3-digit company number."
