Fidelity Management Research Company’s holdings in Metso to 5.01 percent

Metso Corporation has been informed about an increase in the holding of Fidelity Management Research Company and its subsidiaries of the paid up share capital of Metso Corporation. On November 10, 2005, Fidelity Management Research Company and its subsidiaries owned a total of 7,092,500 Metso shares, which corresponds to 5.01 percent of the paid up share capital and voting rights of Metso Corporation.
