Geron to Present at Rodman & Renshaw Annual Global Investment Conference

Geron Corporation (Nasdaq:GERN) today announced that Thomas B. Okarma, Ph.D., M.D., president and chief executive officer, will present an update of the companys human embryonic stem cell development programs at 12:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at the Rodman & Renshaw Annual Global Investment Conference in New York City.

The update will focus on a review of Gerons human embryonic stem cell (hESC) development program for spinal cord injury (GRNOPC1). The presentation will also include information on the companys programs for other hESC-derived cell types, including cardiomyocytes for heart disease (GRNCM1), islet cells for diabetes (GRNIC1), dendritic cells for cancer immunotherapy (GRNVAC2), chondrocytes for osteoarthritis, osteoblasts for osteoporosis and fractures, and the use of hESC-derived cells for ADME/TOX drug testing.
