INVOLUNTARY ICON offers high quality upcycled handbags, sustainably and ethically repurposed

BOSTON - March 12, 2021 - PRLog -- After relocating to Boston, Italian-born designers Laura Ravaioli and Francesca Lo Cascio realized they want to actively participate in the transformation toward eco-sustainability taking place in the luxury fashion world.

The two female entrepreneurs embraced the ethical fashion movement by launching their sustainable luxe fashion brand INVOLUNTARY ICON and sharing their love of beautiful and well preserved handbags of the 70s, 80s with the world.

The brand 's mission is to offer unique luxury vintage handbags that match contemporary taste, stating that Upcycling is more than just a reintroduction of something that was previously sidelined, but rather elevation to a higher level.

Every INVOLUNTARY ICON handbag comes from the past with rare and precious leathers in an array of natural and unusual patterns and colors, beautifully manufactured and restored.

Weekly on Friday mornings, a new vintage bag from either 1970s or 1980s  is revealed, along with an inspirational image of an iconic woman and themes from nature and architecture that inspired their design work.

According to the creative duo, each of the company's handbags is a stand-alone archetype of timeless style.

"Our vision is to help our customers define their style while establishing them as trendsetters with our uniquely upcycled bags" they said. "Each bag's concept is an affirmation of our customer's unmatched style. The foresight in committing to sustainable luxury style will land our customer in the hottest of fashion trends. Heritage is everlasting and requires the vision to accompany well-made pieces through every moment of our time. For us, the it bag of the season will no longer be a unique icon if everyone is carrying it."

INVOLUNTARY ICON bags are "wearable piece of art": sister bags from the same famous vintage handbag brands can be seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, with artists such Andy Warhol involved in the advertising campaigns.

The bags are enriched by INVOLUNTARY ICON signature elements, including alternative new or vintage chains, and the INVOLUNTARY ICON Cicada emblem, a guarantee of quality, originality, and style.

Their latest project, VINTAGE+VINTAGE, delivers a 100 percent vintage experience by adding hand-selected vintage chains to each vintage bag, creating one-of-a-kind handbags by blending multiple vintage sources.

Each bag comes with its own ID CODE certificate to ensure authenticity and unicity and is delivered with a luxury eco-packaging, including reusable boxes and dustbags.
