The updated guide was written by Army veteran and founder of Fitness Fahrenheit, Koji Preston. In addressing his target audience, he first focuses on disproving the myth that whey protein is only for bulking up on muscle.

This is all dependent on how the supplement is used and what one’s fitness regimen looks like, Koji cautions. As such, he recommends that those looking to lose body fat and maintain lean muscle mass consume whey protein at least 30 minutes before or after workouts.
