Red Songbird Foundation Announces Mental Health Summit on October 24 Hosted by Tim Storey



LOS ANGELES - October 10, 2020 - (Newswire.com)

In conjunction with World Mental Health Day, The Red Songbird Foundation has announced their Mental Health Summit which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 am-11 am via Zoom. Acclaimed Author, Speaker and Life Coach Tim Storey will be hosting it alongside Founder Hilary Roberts and Co-Chair Jason Wahler. The goal of the summit is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilize efforts in support of mental health while providing insight and a possible solution to those who may be or may have walked similar paths.

The Summit will cover the importance of mental health well-being and the effects of COVID-19, racism, financial insecurity has on one's mental health with the goal of providing stories and perspectives from various celebrities such as Randy Jackson, Dylan McDermott, B Taylor and Kerri Kasem. Clinicians, such as Dr. Colleen Hawthorne and Dr. Sharon Burnett will also present their professional viewpoints on the stories being told.

ABOUT THE RED SONGBIRD FOUNDATION

Hilary Roberts started the work of the Red Songbird Foundation (RSF) a decade ago and made the foundation official in 2019. A survivor herself, the foundation aims to help survivors of trauma caused by sexual, physical, and verbal abuse, by providing counseling, assisting members to enter treatment, and by integrating members into support groups that specifically address their primary issues. RSF has already implemented dozens of scholarships, for example, the #GiveGriefAChance Campaign amidst COVID-19, which included a $100K donation to the Beach House Treatment Center in Malibu (NBC) The recipient will spend three to six months getting specialized treatment from a team of medical experts.
