KIUC uses water from diversions at North Fork Wailua and Waikoko Stream — known as the “Blue Hole Diversion” — which produces electricity for its Waiahi hydropower plants. These are located in the Puna Moku, mauka of Wailua, Lihue, and Wailua River State Park.
