Namaste Yoga by Kartini, a Los Angeles-based yoga studio, just announced the grand opening of their new West LA location. The studio promotes healthy living by combining physical exercise with spiritual practice. Some of the classes offered include Acro Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Power Yoga, and even Kids’ Yoga. Open 7 days a week, Namaste Yoga is making it their mission to advocate overall wellness within the Sawtelle community.
Kartini Wahyu, owner and founder of Namaste Yoga, created the studio to teach people about the all-around benefits of practicing yoga. “There is peace in the practice of surrending to allow juicy manifestations to form into your life with grace & ease,” said Kartini. “I am on this journey to inspire through my expressions of bliss to support others to do the same.”
Kartini was first introduced to the art of yoga in 2011, which she describes as the lowest point in her life. After a life-altering change from being insecure and unhappy to finding joy through balance, Kartini is now committed to educating others about her experience. The Yoga Instructor/Author, along with eleven other Yogi’s, teaches a variety of classes to help their students on personal development through techniques such as meditation and breathwork.
Breathwork happens to be one of Namaste’s most popular healing classes. This ancient, dynamic breathing meditation targets the subconscious in order to bring awareness to emotional wounds. Those wounds are then exhaled into the universe all while inhaling positive thoughts and inner peace. Another popular class is Power Yoga, which focuses on building strength, improving balance, and increasing flexibility through a combination of poses. This class seeks to build confidence when working towards physical goals.
What sets Namaste Yoga apart from other yoga studios in the surrounding area, is the Kids Yoga classes offered every Saturday. Denise Beaudoin, a former behavior therapist turned Yoga instructor, is able to combine her understanding of children with her love of yoga, creating an adventurous, fun-filled class. The focus on imagination and relaxation aligns perfectly with Namaste’s mission to honor self-expression and to spread love throughout the entire community.
Namaste Yoga is a local Los Angeles yoga studio that promotes healthy living through meditation practices. “We are the creators embracing the masterpiece of our life gracefully, effortlessly and joyfully,” said Kartini. “We are so excited about our new opening and can’t wait to spread love the best way we know how.”
