Chernobyl, the site of a nuclear accident that left the city abandoned, is seeing a spike in visitors following the release of HBO's popular miniseries based on the events. Kiev's tourism and promotion board expects to see 100,000 visitors to Chernobyl by the end of 2019, compared to the 70,000 in 2018.
