Workman Roofing announced today that its sales team underwent Ladder Safety Training earlier in April. The workshop, which was administered by Safety Equipped, Inc., took place on Tuesday, April 11th down at WORKMAN’s warehouse in Lethbridge AB. The entire sales team was in attendance.

The 2-hour long session was focused on personal fall prevention and ladder safety awareness. While the no one on the team has ever had a significant fall while inspecting a roof, there’s no such thing as being too careful. A key part of WORKMAN’s thorough estimation process is for all of their salesmen to inspect the prospects’ roofs during the walk-around portion of their visit. This requirement makes it all the more important for the team to be well versed in ladder safety techniques and how to prevent themselves from falling.

When asked why he had the sales team participate in this training, the owner Kim said, “Making sure that our guys have the proper training and are being safe out in the field is so important to us. The better trained and safer they are in the field, the better service they can give to our customers, which is everyone’s ultimate goal.” The entire team felt that they got a great deal out of the experience and all have said that they now feel more confident climbing their ladders and inspecting prospect’s roofs. “Safety should always be the #1 priority and especially for a roofing company in Lethbridge AB,” Kim stated. All in all, it was a morning well spent, Kim says.
