Eversource Names John M. Moreira Senior Vice President and Treasurer

Eversource Energy (NYSE: ES) announced today that John M. Moreira has been promoted to senior vice president and treasurer for the company. In his new role, Moreira will oversee transmission and distribution rates, financial planning and analysis, treasury and investment management.

“Throughout his accomplished career in accounting and finance, John has demonstrated a strong commitment to collaboration, teamwork and diversity and an extensive knowledge of a wide range of financial matters within our industry that make him an ideal fit for this new role,” said Eversource Chief Financial Officer Phil Lembo. “I have the utmost confidence that John will serve us - and our customers - very well in this new role.”

Moreira joined Eversource in 2000 as Director, Financial Reporting and Accounting Research, and held leadership roles as Director of Investor Relations and Financial Forecasting and most recently as Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis. He is a member of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Accounting Standards Committee and a former member of the EEI/Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Liaison Committee. Prior to joining Eversource, he worked as Assistant Controller and Acting Controller at Eastern Utilities Associates. Moreira holds a master’s degree in business administration from Curry College and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and he is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Rhode Island.
