DXC Technology Achieves Multiple Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Milestones in Its First Full Year of Operation

DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), the world’s leading independent, end-to-end IT services company, has released its latest Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report, which details the company’s progress in corporate responsibility, sustainability, and environmental practices during its first year of operation.

Milestones achieved by DXC include significant reductions in absolute energy and greenhouse gas emissions globally; relief for victims of natural disaster; third-party recognition of an inclusive workplace culture; the creation of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs to train future technologists; and the launch of Digital Transformation Centers to support employees in advancing their digital skills.

Highlights from the fiscal year 2018 DXC Technology Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report show that DXC Technology:

  • Realized a 15 percent reduction in absolute greenhouse gas emissions and a nearly 12 percent reduction in absolute energy consumption globally in the first year as DXC Technology;
  • Was recognized as one of the top 20 companies on Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens List, the leading CR voice in the United States;
  • Received a score of 90 out of a possible total score of 100 on the 2018 Disability Equality Index® and a National Disability Seal Award for 2017 from the U.S. National Organization on Disability;
  • In 2018, was recognized as a Military Friendly Employer, Military Spouse Friendly Employer and Military Times Best for Vets Employer;
  • Opened five Digital Transformation Centers, where employees upskill in next-generation technologies and find new career opportunities;
  • Supported the workforce with 1.5 million training hours via DXC University’s 120,000 learning assets;
  • Sponsored the DXC Codes program to help 1,700 youth in 14 countries creatively apply STEM skills in solving complex technical challenges; and
  • Achieved a place in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) North America 2017, and in the 2017 Vigeo Eiris Euronext indices US 50 and World 120.
