Savage Grows Its Environmental Service Capabilities with EnviroServe Acquisition

Savage continues to expand its environmental service capabilities, announcing today that it has purchased EnviroServe, a specialized waste transportation and disposal services company with offices in Cleveland, Ohio, and Wheeling, West Virginia. EnviroServe operates throughout the United States and Canada, providing remediation, testing, removal, packaging, transportation and disposal of hazardous, nonhazardous, universal and recyclable wastes and materials.

“We welcome the EnviroServe team and look forward to serving customers with mission-critical services that enhance the environmental solutions we provide with our Sunpro business,” said Kirk Aubry, Savage president and chief executive officer. “EnviroServe, and its specialized waste transportation and disposal services, will be an excellent addition to Savage both operationally and culturally, with their extensive industry knowledge and the commitment to customer service and safety they’ve demonstrated over the past 28 years.”

Established in 1990, EnviroServe has become a trusted provider of one-stop, specialized services, earning a reputation for reliability and growing to include more than 100 highly trained team members. EnviroServe stands out because of its technical expertise and broad service offerings, supported by one of the largest and most comprehensive fleets of specialized vehicles in the region. The current management team at EnviroServe will continue to lead the business as part of Savage.

“This is a terrific opportunity to build upon our team’s accomplishments and expand our reach by aligning with Savage and Sunpro, while staying focused on providing the high level of service our customers have come to expect,” said George Karas, EnviroServe president. “Savage has a long and successful history, and we’re pleased to be able to continue to grow our business as part of the Savage team and contribute to our shared success.”

EnviroServe is able to support customer needs from waste identification, to transportation, to final disposal, with comprehensive services that also include remediation, equipment rentals, underground tank removal and cleaning, PCB transportation and disposal, facility cleanup and closures, consulting, and more. Founded in 1989, Sunpro provides emergency response and planned environmental services across the Midwest and beyond, including spill response, remediation and transportation of environmental waste, serving a variety of industries including railroads, oil and gas companies, and many others.
