Boxlight to Showcase Newest Touch Technology, Laser Projectors, and More at FETC and TCEA

Boxlight Corporation (Nasdaq: BOXL) (Boxlight), is kicking off the new year by introducing a host of new interactive and collaborative learning solutions at the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) and the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) Convention & Exposition.

Visitors to the company’s FETC booth (#13) and TCEA booth (#717) will see demos of new touch boards, an interactive touch table, laser projectors, and more. All of the products being previewed at the two conferences are scheduled to ship by the end of the first quarter.

Debuting at FETC, the company will unveil a first-of-its-kind classroom technology solution that turns a conventional whiteboard into a touch board in just under five minutes. “We remain committed to providing educators with the best technologies to drive academic gains at affordable prices,” said Boxlight’s Chief Operating Officer, Hank Nance. “We’ve done that by giving them the opportunity to simply and easily leverage their current whiteboards and existing projectors. That’s innovation and that’s central to Boxlight’s mission.”

Boxlight will also be showcasing MimioSpace, a complete ultra-wide system consisting of a 32-touch TouchBoard and companion ultra-wide laser projector. This product provides teachers and students with an ultra-large touch-enabled area, laser-quality images, and multiple windows—allowing a teacher to switch between different applications with ease. For example, a teacher can have a MimioStudio lesson open in the center of the projected image, a Microsoft Word file listing the day’s class goals to the left, and a Microsoft Paint window on the right for illustrating key aspects of the lesson.

Boxlight will also give demos of the new ProColor interactive touch table. “This model features a larger 49” diagonal screen size to better facilitate collaborative work,” said Boxlight’s Vice President of Product, Stevan Vigneaux. Like its predecessor, the new touch table accommodates up to 12 single-point touch users or six dual-touch users. Electronic controls allow teachers to easily adjust the height to accommodate various grade levels and student needs.

Conference attendees will see the company’s new higher-brightness laser projector, available in both interactive and non-interactive models. The projector’s laser illumination provides consistent color and a constant 4100 lumens of brightness. The interactive model allows teachers to create interactive areas as large as 115” diagonal and includes MimioStudio™ classroom software for the creation and delivery of engaging lessons. In addition, the MimioMobile™ collaboration and assessment app, with a limited license, is included with every interactive projector.

Finally, Boxlight will be giving visitors a preview of the newest version of the easy-to-learn and easy-to-use MimioStudio classroom software. MimioStudio 12.0 includes the capacity for embedding a web page into a MimioStudio Notebook file as well as enhanced import features to accommodate an even broader range of third-party whiteboard lesson files.

“We are looking forward to giving conference attendees a firsthand look at how Boxlight is expanding the ways in which we support how educators teach and students learn,” continued Nance. “Our mission is to help them approach learning in the ways that best suit them, and these newest offerings provide fantastic options for making tech initiatives a success.”
